Rotonda Villas & Meadows, Placida

Rotonda Villas and Meadows are situated together east of 771 north of Placida, and just below South Gulf Cove.  Several lakes provide attractive views. The entire development is surrounded by the Charlotte Harbor Buffer Preserve to the East and South.

The Meadows, (the northern-most section), currently has approximately 2200 build-able lots.  The Villas, (the middle section), currently has about 2400 build-able lots.  The Springs, (the southern-most section), are located at the far South Eastern end of the villas. Most of these lots have been put in the state buffer preserve lands, and today, only about 300 build-able lots remain.  Future sewer installation is pending.  The Meadows, Villas, and Springs currently mostly lack utilities, including electric service. There are a few homes in these areas today, as power lines now just intersect the West and Northern edge of the Meadows.

Though, in the past, investors may have“ banked” these lots as a long term investment, but there has been lots of transfer activity recently. Still, purchasing a lot in here to build, means paying for the utilities to be brought in, or waiting for utilities to be in place to build.

Rotonda Villas and Meadows is just a few minutes by car from Gulf beaches at Boca Grande and Englewood.  This whole area is now experiencing rapid development, grocery and retail shopping are now conveniently close by.  There are many fine restaurants within easy driving distance.  If you play golf, four golf courses are located within 10 minutes of Rotonda villas and Meadows; Long Marsh, Oakland Hills, Palms and Cape Haze links. 

Rotonda Villas and Meadows is just South of South Gulf Cove which is located mid-way between Englewood and the Town Center Shopping Center in Port Charlotte about 15 minutes either way.  Grocery shopping is only minutes away on SR776.  Rotonda Villas and Meadows on a larger scale is snuggled in between Punta Gorda to the south and Englewood/Venice/Sarasota to the North.  It is also close to schools.  The Englewood Hospital is nationally acclaimed for patient care and many other fine hospitals are close by in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Venice and Sarasota.
